VIRTUAL Skills for Supervising People With Lived Expertise Series

~Virtual Series~

We cannot solve big systemic challenges without the expertise of people with lived experience, but often, our work environments end up marginalizing, burning out, and excluding these critical voices. We are excited to create space to grapple together with the challenges and possibilities in our work to unleash the brilliance of our staff with lived expertise.

This unique 5-part virtual training series will meet 9:30-11:30 PST every Tuesday from 4/22 to 5/20, where we will cover:

  • Why hire people with lived expertise?

  • Role of a supervisor

  • Hiring & Onboarding

  • Trauma Informed Supervision

  • Giving and Receiving Feedback

  • Stories

  • Structural Supports at our Organizations

  • & the stuff you all bring into the space <3

Session Dates: 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20

In addition to these training times, participants also get to take advantage of one personal 30-minute coaching session with either Ashley or Isaac to support you in your supervisory and leadership journey!

Testing Small-Scale Flexible Cash Assistance

Testing Small-Scale Flexible Cash Assistance

Flexible Cash Assistance (FCA) is the future of youth housing and homeless services. Diversion? Cash? Basic Income? There are many cash assistance models that can be tailored to young people’s needs and a community’s size and budget. Collectively, System Change Partners and ABC Training & Consulting have helped communities across the country secure over $10 million in public and private dollars to build and successfully scale FCA models. Join us to talk about FCA models, how to design and implement them at a small-scale in your community, and how to tell the story in a way that makes funders want to invest.

We know that many communities want to take advantage of flexible funds to bring services to at-risk young people, but technical assistance providers only provide support for large-scale projects with big budgets. We are here to help communities of any size get started on their flexible cash journeys. With over 15 years combined experience in designing and implementing flexible cash assistance programs across the US, we are the only team in the country with experience across the full spectrum of flexible cash assistance programs - from the micro to large-scale Direct Cash Transfers.
